SpamRejector™
runs on a separate, secure server that can be easily integrated
into your network. The server can be attached to your switch or
connected to your firewall. This protects your mail server, and
your other applications, from interruptions, incompatibilities,
and virus attacks.
Set
Up in an Hour or Less
SpamRejector™
is easy to set up it takes most of our clients an hour or less and
there's no interruption in your network or e-mail delivery. NPI
technicians do almost all the work for you.
The
SpamRejector™ hardware comes in two convenient profiles mini-tower
or rack-mounted so it can fit into any computer room configuration.
Because SpamRejector™ runs on its own server, there's no
software to install on your existing server(s) or client machines.
Configuration
Choices
NPI
works with you to determine the best placement of the SpamRejector™.
It works effectively in any of three different locations in your
environment:
- On
a separate interface of your firewall (if available)
- Internal
to your network and behind your firewall
- On
a server hosted by NPI (at our office)
Configuring
SpamRejector™ to run on a separate interface of your
firewall is the most secure option. For firms with only one
internal interface
on their firewall, the internal configuration is best. The hosted
service is a less expensive option for smaller businesses. Our
sales and technical staff will work with you to customize the
best SpamRejector™ configuration for your environment. |

Installation
After
you complete our straightforward telephone questionnaire, we
finalize
your configuration and prepare for the onsite work. We typically
install your SpamRejector™ during the business day it
begins blocking spam immediately with no disruption to your e-mail
delivery.
Training
The
same day we install your SpamRejector™, we train your staff
in its use and administration. Topics include reviewing suspected
spam, finding legitimate mail, whitelisting and blacklisting,
custom rules, and reporting. The training doesn't stop there:
ongoing support is included in your low monthly fee.
Fine-Tuning
During
the first two weeks, we work closely with your spam administrator
to review the traps and refine the rule base, as well as your
whitelists and blacklists, to customize the way SpamRejector™
works
for your specific business. After this brief "tuning"
period, we hand over control to your spam administrator. Then
if desired, the spam administrator can assign control to individual
users.
We
encourage the spam administrator to e-mail NPI with any false
positives or negatives so we can revise the underlying rules
and
adjust the Adaptive Acuity Engine™. We also provide ongoing support
for the spam administrator as he or she learns to work with
this
new tool. |
