Spam is in the eye of the beholder. Although most of us regard e-mails with the word "refinance" in the subject line as spam, people in the financial and real estate industry may not. That's why we developed our Adaptive Acuity Engine™. We realized that spam blocking is an ongoing, evolving, highly personalized challenge, and that we needed a powerful tool, programmed by experienced computer engineers, to make the difficult decisions about what is spam and what is not.

The Adaptive Acuity Engine™
Anti-spam products work like a border guard. Products with 95%-99% claims are like closed borders — no one gets through, even the people who should. Those that claim they don't stop any desired mail are like open borders — almost everyone gets through. SpamRejector™ has a very diligent border guard with a database of intelligence that enables it to make highly accurate decisions on a case-by-case basis. That border guard is the Adaptive Acuity Engine™.

Building on the technologies provided by SpamAssassin and Canit-PRO, the Adaptive Acuity Engine™ uses multiple algorithms and technologies (many unique to SpamRejector™) to sort legitimate e-mail from spam, including:

• Bayesian filtering and tuning (using scoring and weighting to determine how likely it is that a given message is spam)
• Realtime BlackLists (RBLs) to filter out known spam senders, domains, and clickable links.  Uses both public and proprietary lists.
• Lexical analysis (searching the wording of the message for offensive phrases)
• Message header analysis (validating the sending server and checking for spam signatures)
• Obfuscation analysis (spotting attempts to avoid spam blocking)
• Whitelist and blacklist administration (allowing the permanent acceptance or blocking of specific senders)
• One-shot technology (rejecting up to 50% of spam that fails to correctly retry message transmission)
• Sender-server mismatch detection (identifying spoofed addresses, often used in "phishing" attacks)

We constantly update the rules used by the Engine, and its Bayesian logic self-tunes over time based on the decisions made by individual client administrators, users, and the SpamRejector™ development team. With these multiple, state-of-the-art techniques, the Adaptive Acuity Engine™ can wring out the last vestiges of spam from your mail. The end result is the most precise spam sorting available on the market today.

Many anti-spam products boast about their ability to stop spam with claims like "99% blocking." Others focus on the fact that they don't stop any legitimate mail. Very few do both well. Products that block very high percentages of spam tend to block some wanted mail also. Those that don't block any desired mail tend to stop only low percentages of spam (50% for example). The trick is to be absolutely precise and to do both things well: block every piece of spam without blocking any of the mail you want. This is the job performed by the Adaptive Acuity Engine™.

Control and Customization
SpamRejector™ is the most flexible and powerful spam blocker on the market. It gives organizations a range of options for managing spam, which is reassuring to many senior executives, employees, and system administrators.

Many organizations prefer central administration of the SpamRejector™. Some use a combination of centralized and individual management. If individual employees have concerns that legitimate messages might be held by SpamRejector™ or they have confidentiality or privacy concerns, it is easy to assign them rights so they can review and take action on their personal spam.

SpamRejector™ provides on-demand reports on the quantity, types, and sources of mail and spam received, on a global or per-user basis.
